Good afternoon and happy new year (I'm late) to all of you.
I come, again, with some questions and doubts, two actually.
a) What is the first text with Galahad? Does he appear also in welsh text or only after the Lancelot-Grail?
b) Do you rememeber an old arthurian movie inspired by Mark Twain's work? it had a boy (with a female friend, I think) that attended high school and Morgan was the director of the school and she was evil... sorry, i can't remember much more.
Sorry for troubling again this community with my questions :* and thank you for your attention.

Actually, I think I remember that movie. I saw part of it on TV once a long time ago. And...I don't remember anything beyond that. Sorry.

I'm pretty sure Galahad originated in the Lancelot-Grail/Vulgate cycle, because that's less than a hundred years after Chretien and his Grail hero was Percival. Someone who's not away from their refences may offer more detail.

I have that movie. I think it's called Arthur's Quest but let me go and check. Not sure where I'd keep a DVD of that... quality.

No, it's not, that's the name of a crappy PC game I have been meaning to sell on eBay once I can bring myself to lie convincingly about how enjoyable it is. I am at my parent's house having a clear out, but can't find the DVD in question. Possibly it's at my own home but I doubt it, sorry.

Well, to my surprise this DVD turned up today. It is called Arthur's Quest, copyright 2001 Prism Leisure (should have guessed!) and is 92 minutes long.
Is there anything in particular you'd like to know? I am having a clear out and would be happy to send it to you if you wanted it. Otherwise I might throw it away.

from the back of the box:
"In the midst of a fierce battle the sorcerer Merlin tells the English King that the future of his country will depend upon the survival of his five-year-old son, Arthur. To ensure Arthur's safety, Merlin sends him through a whirling time portal, landing him in the 20th century.
Ten years pass, and Artie, now a teenager, has forgotten his medieval childhood. But Merlin catches up with him in the present day, where heroes and villains fight in this magical legend."

As I recall, Morgan le Fay follows Merlin when he goes to collect teenage Arthur through time, and replaces the principal of the school. I remember thinking that it would be a better idea for a TV series!

I think there were a few movies made based on Twain's "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court".
Sounds like it might be the 1995 one.
