Liz Schultz: King Arthur

I came across it when I was doing an image search. Looks like fanart for Nancy McKenzie's Queen of Camelot, actually.

Decided to revise the cast a bit. Used Diane Kruger for Guinevere and Hugh Dancy for Lancelot this time. I think I like this pair much better.

Made a poster for a possible movie adaptation of "Queen of Camelot" by Nancy McKenzie. There is no movie in the works that I know of, so it's strictly fanon. Romola Garai is Guinevere and James McAvoy is Lancelot. They're not my ideal choices but I honestly couldn't think of anyone else. Anyone have any casting suggestions?

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to this community, I found it via [livejournal.com profile] deludedvision's user info, via [livejournal.com profile] hogwarts_elite (so she doesn't think I'm stalking her)!

Arthurian Legend was my first passion/ obsession, etc. I was about 9 when I first read Nancy McKenzie's The Child Queen, and then I couldn't stop. When I think about it, I haven't read all that much -- I haven't read Morte de Arthur, or The Once and Future King (tried, but I thought it was horrible) and I'm sure a slew of others, but since those are the biggies I thought I'd mention them.

Um... I love Morgan le Fay, always have -- my last name is Morgan (though I wish it were my first and sometimes go by it) -- I even have the Morgan le Fay/ Merlin Barbies, AND spent like $200 on the Franklin Mint Morgan le Fay doll (she's georgeous by the way).

And yea, I guess that's all of my introduction!

I just finished reading Nancy McKenzie's The High Queen this week. I really liked it, because I thought that the relationships between Lancelot, Guinevere, and Arthur were much more realistic than in many other Arthurian novels. What do any of you think of this book?

Hi community, I just found you through some cool person that added me!:) Anyways, I've been interested in Arthurian legend since... well, since First Knight came out. Recently, I have been studying it seriously, and did my 30 page senior thesis on Guinevere's infertility in The Mists of Avalon and Guenevere: Queen of the Summer Country. I was an English major, and now I'm getting my MAE with a concentration in Arthurian Legend. Anyways, I think I am the lone fan of Gwen and her complicated life, but she is definitely my favorite. Any fans of Rosalind Miles books? Anyone read "The Dragon Queen" by Alice Borchardt? Queen of Camelot by Nancy McKenzie? Have read the first Miles book but the rest of these are all on my to be read list.

I'm also quite interested in early music and I hope to find the time to be involved in the SCA at some point.

On page 30 of my own novel about Guinevere, slowly but surely writing... :)
