I created an arthurian calendar for the 2012. It is in two version (one is clear and the other one has an "ancient" effect). In the last page of the calendar there are also all the titles of the pics/paintings I used.
The calendar if composed by: an arthurian poem, an arthurian image, the days of the month.

I hope it's okay to post this here... I thought that fans of Arthurian legend might like to know that I'm working on a (slightly megalomaniac) comics project about Sir Gawain :-). Sketched pages (not final ones - I'm working on those, but I'm painfully slow) are being posted on my LJ. Feel free to have a look :-). Since I'm essentially posting drafts, I'm always looking for constructive criticism.

So, I started drawing again, and decided to play with the knights. Came up with a design for Gawaine I may actually be somewhat happy with, and thought I'd share/see what other people think.

Just a quick roleplay advertisement! And we're always on the lookout for more Arthurian myth characters, so if you're interested and have no ideas peek in our WANTED page! Thanks!

You all know their myths, when they were influential and absolute, but what comes around goes around - karma came knocking at their doors and these Gods died. Reincarnated throughout time, sometimes with no idea of who they truly are, they all struggle to understand what keeps bringing them back to life and for what purpose are they subjected to this higher power and their games.

I've been a lurker here for several months but I plan to begin contributing more because I have just been accepted into an M.A. program for English Literature at the University of Massachusetts. I plan to concentrate on the Arthurian Legend for my thesis, Gawain in particular. I've been granted a research assistantship in the Rare Books and Manuscripts room at the Boston Public Library and I'm ready to pick up where I left off as an undergraduate.

I hope this entry isn't too cheesy, I'm just excited!

Hi! I'm new here. The name is Madda, and I'm terribly fond of King Arthur. My favorite knight is Sir Gawain, and I have issues with Lancelot. I love the tale of Gawain and Ragnell beyond all reason.

But anyway, I just discovered that the children I babysit for (ages ten, seven, seven, and four) have never heard of Arthur, Merlin, the Round Table, Camelot, or anything in that vein! (They've not even heard of Robin Hood, but that's a different matter.) This must be fixed. Does anyone know of any good introductions to Arthur? My dad read me Once and Future King when I was titchy, but I don't think I have the stamina to read that out loud. I was thinking Gerald Morris's Squire's Tale.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
