A few days ago, someone asked me which version of the Tristan and Isolde legend I had and I couldn't find it for the life of me. Finally found it tonight. I apparently have brilliantly deleted the email of the comment, so can't find where it was. Hope it was here -- or I hope we at least share the same groups. It's this one:

The Romance of Tristan & Iseult as retold by Joseph Bedier, translated by Hilaire Belloc and completed by Paul Rosenfeld. Haven't read it yet, so don't have a rec one way or the other.

you know what? that's the exact same book i have. with the same situation: own it (have for a while), just haven't read it yet. :)

That's the edition my medieval lit. professor used when I was in college, so I imagine it is a decent one. Haven't read it in many, many years, though.
