Hey I'm new, just thought I'd say hi!
My name is Cassie, I'm 15, and so far my favorite books on King Arthur and Morgan le Fay and such (even though they're more about her and Avalon) are The Mists of Avalon, The Lady of Avalon, and The Forest House (which I'm in the process of purchasing so I haven't read yet) by Marion Zimmer Bradley.

I have been since I was about 6-8.
My grandma taught me to read at 4 and all she had laying around were novels and of course being a little kid madly in love with horses I was drawn to The Mists of Avalon and that's what made me love the legend.

what a coincidence! i too learnt to read when i was 4, and when i was about 6 or 7, i found a simplied version of arthur for kids that my father had! :)

That's pretty cool.
I think the legend appeals to a lot of little kids for obvious reasons and also to adults because it's all crazy in a not crazy way..
did that make any sense at all lol?

I'm 15- read them last year, loved them. Mists started me down an interesting mythological path that evolved into my beginning a novel! Welcome, anyway!

Yes, more young people! I'm seventeen and have been obsessed since... uh... I don't know. Best part of working at the library, taking mental inventory of Arthurian books for summer reading.

Yay! I don't remember when I first read The Mists of Avalon... it was awhile before the movie came out, so... I guess I was a little younger than you (I'm 19 and the movie came out in 2001), but yes, they change your life!

I've loved Arthurian legend since I was about 8 and checked out The Child Queen from our fire station library.

Don't just read those three -- The Priestess of Avalon is also really great, if you like Greek/Roman legend, and if you do like that stuff too, you'll love The Firebrand -- and since by then you'll love all of her stuff, I highly recommend Ancestors of Avalon -- and there, that's all I've read of her's!

Sorry for that entire ramble, I'm just excited for you!
