[livejournal.com profile] rhovanion's earlier question sparked a couple of my own. :)

Which is your favorite "interpretation" or "view" of the Arthurian legend, as a whole?

Which is your preferred "interpretation" or "view" of your favorite character from the Arthurian legends?

Some people might argue that they're one in the same, but for others it might be different. :P

I'm fond of Mary Stewart's interpretation, and her Merlin, but I haven't yet found any interpretation that quite fits what I'm looking for.

I haven't exactly read a great big variety of Arthurian books yet, but currently I'm really digging Peter David's stuff (much fun) and Mary Stewart's writings.
