I am in the minority: I'm torn between intense dislike of the poorly handled research and nonsensical characterizations, and mad amusement at the soap opera dynamics.
And I love most of MZB's other stuff, mind, Darkover in particular. MoA just...irritates me intensely.
Another heretic! I can't stand MoA, primarily because the way she handles the characters. I don't mind Arthurian stories in which the author has tried to humanize the characters a bit (Parke Godwin's books are my own particular favorites), but in MoA everybody comes out as less than admirable.
Simply put...

Have you taken my quiz (http://www.geocities.com/elvenevenstar/mistsquiz.html) on it, by the way? ;)
