I have a few reviews of Arthuriana-related books here (under my other username, and one by
afrai) -- fiction and nonfiction. I just posted one of Elizabeth E. Wein's The Winter Prince (has anyone else read it? What do you think?).
Anyhow, I was wondering, since I'm slowly working my way through all the Arthurian fiction I can find that doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out, if there would be any interest in an Arthurian lit community -- possibly with a regular book discussion planned, possibly not.

Date: 2003-11-23 09:27 pm (UTC)It's weird, too -- MZB is an okay to good writer (I love a lot of her Darkover stuff), and she did do her research (even if she ignores it in places), but the book just...bugs me. Part of it's the wildly erratic characterizations, I think.
I still have Rosemary Sutcliff's Sword at Sunset, which I need to read and have high hopes for (I adore RS), and I like TH White and Mary Stewart, but I'm always in search of more.
Perhaps I shall start that community....

Date: 2003-11-26 09:27 am (UTC)I've just currently finished the second book of the Guenevere series by R. Miles and I'm going to the library tomorrow to borrow the third. I'll also try and borrow the Cornwell series.
What other series are worth reading out there?
